| Lucifer |
|
When Liefmans Breweries went bancrupt, Lucifer fell into hands of brewery Duvel Moortgat. Lucifer was launched by former brewery Riva as a strong blond ale in the early ‘80s. As Moortgat was concentrating on the fruitbeers of Liefmans, Lucifer was doomed to disappear. Both brewery Duvel Moortgat and brewery Het Anker thought that this would be a waste of the Belgian beer-tradition and came to an agreement. Het Anker obtained the rights to produce and sell Lucifer.
