Konishi gold

Konishi Daiginjo Hiyashibori KONISHI大吟醸ひやしぼり

A refined sake with a mild finish and medium body. The fruity aroma of this premium sake is further accentuated in a wine glass.

A fruity, elegant sake with delicate touches of citrus fruit, pear and cucumber. Delicious with soft cream cheese, pasta with courgettes and mozzarella and oven-dried tomatoes, grilled beefsteak and lamb.

Konishi is one of the oldest sake breweries in Japan, with a family history dating back to 1550. The brewery is currently run by the 15th generation.

The own label sake, Shirayuki (‘white snow’), is based on this family tradition and age-old brewing techniques. Konishi also markets a range of innovative, premium sake under its own name.

In 1988, Konishi began importing Belgian special beers to Japan, including the Gouden Carolus range. The personal relationship between the two family breweries along with their belief in the excellent quality of each other’s products has resulted in further cooperation: the distribution of quality Japanese sake.
