2nd Anniversary Edition

Fado Vivo is a limited release to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Stokerij De Molenberg. This edition is a special blend of single malt whisky that matured for 2 years in Tawny Port casks (75%), combined with a selection of Het Anker casks of varying ages from different maturation rooms (25%). These Portuguese casks, previously used for more than 6 years to age port wines, provided the final 2-year finish after an initial 3-year maturation in classic ex-Bourbon casks. Just as the Portuguese musical tradition 'Fado' effortlessly expresses the emotions of life, this ruby-red whisky unites the bold flavors ('Vivo') of grain and oak with the gentle warmth of port wine and ripe fruit, complemented by subtle notes of cinnamon and honey.
