3th Anniversary Edition

Sola Jerez is a limited release to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Stokerij De Molenberg. This edition is a special blend of our first in-house distillates from 2010 (33%) and the various test distillates produced in 2007 (67%) before the distillery officially started. Both were exclusively ('Sola') finished in Oloroso sherry ('Jerez') casks. The spirit from these initial test distillates was aged for over 9 years in our maturation rooms, first in 1st fill Bourbon casks (6 years), followed by an extended finish in Oloroso sherry casks (3 years). This sun-kissed whisky brings together the finest flavors of Spain: soft, sweet fruity notes of apricot, orange, figs, and raisins, evolving into a spicy taste sensation with warm woody notes that linger beautifully.
